"Building a safe place
to be with and become like Jesus"
We devote ourselves to four foundational practices:
"consciously connecting with Jesus"
Minute by minute, throughout all the day's activities
and encounters, we are endeavoring to stay in touch with Jesus.
"partnering together with Jesus"
The Christian life is a life lived together.
"sharing life together"
We believe that the best life is a shared life.
"going where He goes"
Disciples are called to follow Jesus as He leads.
1994 ~ Bridgewood had its humble beginnings with Tom Stuart leading a series of small core group meetings during the summer. Growing to 57 adults plus children, the Grand Opening Service was September 25th at Chippewa Middle School in Shoreview where we met for the next five years.
1995 ~ We began searching for land and a permanent “place to call home” in the Lino Lakes-Shoreview area. After two years of frustration and many closed doors, the Lord spoke very clearly to us that if we were going to find a “place to call home,” we must be more earnest in prayer to “place a call home”!
1997 ~ After a sermon titled, “Lessons from the Titanic” we thanked the Lord that we had "missed the boat" on buying land. The very next day we discovered 20 acres of land available in Blaine for the purchase price of $129,000. An incredible miracle of God!
1998 ~ We were about to sign a lease for an 800 square foot office space in Circle Pines. The day before signing, God provided us with a small 1700 square foot office building right across the street for the same price!
1999 ~ God led us from Chippewa Middle School to Spring Lake Park High School, where we met on Sunday mornings until the completion and dedication of our permanent church home. Paying off of the land and the down payment for construction was made possible through several amazing offerings from the Bridgewood family.
2001 ~ Completed our building and moved in to our permanent church home in the fall!
2007 ~ Added a Phase 2 Addition, a hallmark of our numeric growth
2010 ~ Mark Spencer becomes the Lead Pastor as Tom Stuart passes the baton of leadership.
2014 ~ Brendon Fairley receives the Lead Pastor baton from Mark Spencer as each transition is a graceful one in united pursuit of God's will for Bridgewood.
Our history is continually being punctuated with God’s miraculous life changing power, salvations, emotional and physical healings, and restoration of broken relationships.
